Geschrieben von Auf der diesjährigen Intermot 2025 in Köln war die Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 eines der am häufigsten angesehenen Bikes. Kein Wunder, denn gleich in drei Ausführungen gab’s die Reise-Enduro auf dem Messestand zu bestaunen. Besonders die mattschwarze Version “Mana Black” zog neugierige Blicke auf sich. Zu Recht, wenn man sich Enfields neueste Kreation der Himalayan genauer anschaut.
“Viele haben uns nach einer mattschwarzen Himalayan gefragt”, berichtete Kai Petermann von Royal Enfield DACH dem RERC beim Besuch des Intermot-Messestands. “Optisch macht sie ein bisschen mehr auf Krawall”, so Petermann weiter. Serienmäßig kommt die “Mana Black” nicht nur in der Sonderlackierung Mattschwarz, sondern auch mit gekürztem Heck und der Klang wummert nun für einen wassergekühlten 450er-Motor erstaunlich erwachsen aus einer Arrow-Auspuffanlage. Damit die Fahrt ins Gelände gelingt, spendiert Enfield dieser geschärften Himalayan obendrein noch Hand-Guards, einen Aluminium-Unterfahrschutz, und eine Rallye-Sitzbank, welche die Sitzhöhe auf 860 Millimeter anhebt.
Nicht umsonst trägt diese Version den höchsten befahrbaren Pass Indiens im Namen. Royal Enfield rühmt sich ja bekanntlich, mit der Himalayan schon so ziemlich auf jedem erreichbaren Gipfel mit ihren Modellen gewesen zu sein. Ansonsten bleibt die schwarze Himalayan aber ihren Genen treu. Aus 452 Kubikzentimetern Hubraum schöpft der wassergekühlte Einzylinder nach wie vor 40 PS und 40 Newtonmeter Spitzenleistung. Das reicht wahlweise um sich aus jedem handelsüblichen Sand- oder Schotterloch herauszumanövrieren, oder, und dafür wird sie vermutlich eher hierzulande noch mehr Fans finden, mit ordentlich Reisegepäck die ein oder andere motorisierte Alpenwanderung zu absolvieren. Nicht umsonst nennt Enfield den Motor der Himalayan ja auch “Sherpa-Motor”.
Selbstverständlich dürfte es dabei wie bei Enfield allgemein gemütlich(er) zugehen. Aber wie so oft ist natürlich auch hier wieder mal der Weg das Ziel. Für die ein oder andere Autobahn-Etappe bleibt bei knapp 200 Kilo fahrfertigem Gewicht aber auch noch genügend Saft. Immer vorausgesetzt man legt es nicht darauf an, auf der linken Spur Schnelligkeitsrekorde aufzustellen. Entspannte 130 km/h Reisegeschwindigkeit sollen aber in jedem Fall ohne Probleme drin sein.

Ausstattungsmäßig gibt es natürlich auch bei der Mana Black die bekannten üblichen Extras, wie Routen-Navigation über Connectivity, zwei Fahrmodi, einen USB-Port und LED-Scheinwerfer. Die Royal Enfield Himalyan “Mana Black” rollt Anfang 2026 für 6.590 Euro in die Händler-Showrooms und wartet dort auf abenteuerlustige Kundschaft.
